The Clothing Shop - Peter, Martin, Evan

Content Warnings: None.

From the moment he first steps onto the Diagon Alley, Martin is spellbound. It's all absolutely wondrous: he can't stop looking around in awe, gasping in delight or surprise or both, every sight and sound more tempting than the previous. He feels like he's getting swept of his feet every second, and he barely remembers to hold onto Mr. Lukas's hand.

But Mr. Lukas remembers to hold onto his. His hand is warm around Martin's, big and strong, and his grip remains firm even as he has to push past people on the busy alleys, or scold his nephew for being nosy or wandering off, or address the managers at the various stores. And they are visiting a lot of stores: Martin has a wand now, and books, and a dog. He feels dizzy from it all, and by the time they enter the clothing shop, he is tired despite all his amazement.

"Chin up," Mr. Lukas says to him as they enter, his voice and smile so very warm. "We have equipped you, but you still need to start looking like a wizard. Here is where we make that happen."

"I wonder if it's doable," the nephew, Evan, mutters.

"Hush." Mr. Lukas shoots a glance at Evan, icicles in his stare. His eyes aren't much warmer when he looks at Martin, but his smile is back in its place, still dazzling. "I have no doubt you will look handsome in your robes, Martin."

Martin bites his lip, hoping he won't let Mr. Lukas down.
